Hello from Madison, Wisconsin! I have been on a whirlwind work trip over the past week– four cities/towns in NY, Chicago, a wedding in PA, and now in Wisconsin.
Before I left, I did my recipe for the Secret Recipe Club. I was matched with Sawsan from Chef in Disguise. Every recipe on her site looks amazing! I had such a hard time deciding what to make but then settled on her dutch sweet bread, also known as peperkoek. It was a huge hit! I had it for breakfast, snack, and dessert– great flavors!

- 1 tbs honey
- 1 cup minus 2 tbs lukewarm water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare bread pan by spraying with cooking spray.
Mix all the ingredients together except the flour and baking powder until well blended.
Then stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour into bread pan.
Bake for 70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool slightly and serve. Enjoy!
