Decadent Cinnamon Peanut Butter Bars

I am finally back home after a solid two weeks on the road for work. I spent a week in Texas and then a couple days in both Colorado and Utah. I loved exploring parts of the country where I haven’t spent too much time. I ate my way throughout these states, but I feel like I rolled my way home.
Cinnamon Peanut Butter Bars - Food Ramblings
So when it came to the Secret Recipe Club this month, I was going to look for a healthy recipe. Then I found these decadent cinnamon peanut butter bars from Wild Flour’s Kitchen. Healthy can wait until next week. After making them, the name holds up– they are super decadent and sooooo good!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Prep time: 5 min
  • Cook time: 20-25 min
  • Servings: about 20 bars
  • Difficulty: easy

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth. Whisk the dry ingredients in a separate small bowl to combine. Add to butter mixture and mix until moistened. Mix in peanut butter.

Spread into baking pan.

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until it is set in the center. Cool completely and cut into bars.
