Everyone is talking about where they’re going for the holidays, and many of my friends are traveling to where they grew up. The hubby and I are staying put– with how much I travel for work, it’s nice to have a home base for the holidays!
But that doesn’t mean I won’t miss Buffalo– and hot sauce. Lots of hot sauce. I put it on everything. Including pork chops.
I went on pinterest and searched for pork chops– and when a recipe with hot sauce came up, I was sold! So I very slightly adapted a recipe from Sweet Bella Roos and away I went!
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 2 tbs butter
- Frank's hot sauce
- shredded mozarella cheese
- Pork chops, boneless
- Steakhouse onion burger (or your favorite) Seasoning
- Cook time: about 20 min
- Servings: 4
- Difficulty: easy
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, butter, and two tbsp of hot sauce to a large skillet. Melt and then mix together.
Season each side of the pork chops with salt, pepper, and the onion burger seasoning.
Add the pork chops to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side. You may need to cook a little more or less depending on the thickness of the pork chops.
Place the pork chops on a cookie sheet- cover liberally with hot sauce to coat the top of the pork chops.
Top each pork chop with mozzarella cheese. (I used shredded, but a slice would work too).
Place under the broiler on high for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and melted. Enjoy!
