Apple Cheddar Biscuits

Jun 11

On stressful days, I bake and cook. And yesterday was stressful….I made a HUGE dinner, but the stress wasn’t gone quite yet. I had pinned these biscuits from Baked by Rachel ages ago, and I finally had all the ingredients and plenty of time to relieve stress.

I’m SOOO happy that I made them- dense but still moist (worst word ever) and sweet too!

I had one two for dessert, and I can’t wait to have them for breakfast the rest of the week. Maybe I need to get stressed more often– I eat really well on those nights :)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 2 apples, chopped with skin on
  • Prep time: 5 min
  • Cook time: 15 min
  • Servings: 12ish biscuits
  • Difficulty: easy

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In large bowl, mix apples, flour and cheese. Stir in the milk. The dough should be thick and sticky.

Using a large ice cream scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the parchment paper. Bake 15 minutes, until tops are golden.

What an unusual recipe with the brief list of ingredients. Cheese and apple together is classic. This should be a winner. I guess we are getting the benefit of your stress—-that’s a teeny bit parasitical. Lol

I wouldn’t have thought to combine apple and cheddar. Which is funny, because I like a slice of cheese with my pie. Looks delish.
